The Tragic Backstory A Corrupt Family: Obanai was born into a selfish, criminal family that worshiped a monstrous snake demon. The Demon's Demand: The family gave the demon baby sacrifices in exchange for stolen wealth. When Obanai was born, the demon spared him because she liked his unique eyes, but demanded he be altered to match her serpent-like appearance. The Disfigurement: Under the demon's orders or actions, his mouth was sliced wide open so it could mimic a snake's gape. Why He Hides It Deep Shame: Obanai grew up imprisoned and tortured by his own flesh and blood. He keeps his lower face wrapped in white bandages because he deeply loathes his past and feels physically tainted by his family's dark bloodline. poor Obanai
