KPXP Changes & What is it?

-***EDIT May 15: Reopening this today and tomorrow to fine-tune.*** First, a heads up for those of you who care about/follow your KPXP score: -- Between *May 8 - May 9 2025* I will be working on the algorithm to calculate Kandi Pad Experience Points (KPXP) most accurately so you may notice it changing or fluctuating here and there over the next day or two. Some of you will notice your position in the stats rankings go down a little, some might go up a little, and some might stay right where you are. Do not worry, it's nothing personal. I will explain below: **So, how will this magic KPXP number get calculated?** -- *Here's the simple version:* 🖼️ **Your Patterns are a BIG Deal!** The more cool patterns you create, the more views and likes they get, if they get favorited a lot, or even if they're featured or become Pattern of the Day – all of that adds a lot to your KPXP. I also consider the overall "quality" of your public patterns (that PQI score you might see). Basically, if you're making awesome patterns, your KPXP will really benefit! 😀 **Your Profile Matters Too!** Having a complete profile with a picture and banner, getting followers, and following other awesome creators helps boost your KPXP. It shows you're part of the community! Verifying your email also gives you a little extra. 💬 **Being Social in the Forums Counts!** Starting discussions, getting views and likes on your forum posts, and leaving thoughtful comments on other people's threads all contribute to your KPXP. As I run this site, see how users interact with it, and gather all your fantastic feedback I am able to see what works, what doesn't work, what people really want, etc. The KPXP algorithm is like a recipe with a bunch of ingredients. Some of which I weigh more than others because they're super important to what makes Kandi Pad great. And it all falls under my "Creativity, Community, and Collaboration" vision for Kandi Pad.
