A figure with long red hair... “Misfit, what are you doing?” Gameknight asked, mildly annoyed at the interruption. Then, “Wait, you can speak?” Misfit motioned for Woodcutter and the young girl to rejoin the crowd. She turned to Gameknight. “Misfit, why did you interrupt-” “WHY DID I INTERRUPT?” she yelled, her voice getting stronger. “I ‘interrupted’ to save a life, Woolbrain! Can’t you see what you’re doing here? Look at those people behind you!” He rolled his eyes, but he looked. What he saw was his army. “These people used to follow you out of *respect*,” Misfit continued. “Now, they follow you out of *fear*. Look at their faces, look at their eyes.” Her words hit him like a bucket of cold water in the face. Frantically he looked for the one whose input he truly cared about. Hunter’s face was stony, but her eyes told a different story. They were filled with the fire of anger, betrayal and... Fear. The insatiable anger faded from his mind, but unlike the first time, he remembered every horrible thing he’d done. He turned back to Misfit. “They’re afraid of what you’ve become. What should I call you? Erebus? Feyd? Malacoda? Xa-Tul? Herobrine?” The names of his old enemies made him feel light-headed. Was he really becoming like them? “Because you’re not Gameknight999.” Misfit growled. “Gameknight999 is kind. Gameknight999 is a good leader. Gameknight999 is the guy I met down in the crafting chamber so long ago.” she pointed to the tall stone tower in the middle of the village, underneath which the crafting chamber resided. “*You* are not Gameknight999. *You* are a MONSTER.” And that was the moment he realised that he was. He’d done horrible things. Because of what he’d called his empire. “Come find me when Gameknight999 is back.” and she took off running out of sight. Behind him, he heard everyone go back into the village, but he stayed where he was. For he didn’t trust himself any longer.
