THIS IS GONNA BE LONG AS HELL Ambri/Ambrinil: Doll-like being[]They/it Trenglan: Human Knight[]He/Him Trenglan POV (Set in an alternate universe of Medieval times) The battlefield, a place of blood and death, a game I was doing well at. I’d just killed a man before I spun around to see- I felt a stabbing pain , and when I looked at my stomach, a sword was plunged through it. I didn’t know what to do or say, was I gonna die, and in vain? I’d fought so hard and at least killed 80 men. Was this it? I collapsed, still breathing, and pushed myself up against a wall, and tried to stop the bleeding, but the cut was deep. I looked around for the soldier who stabbed me, but there was no one. It must have been the earlier battle’s last attempt at a win. Why was this happening? I prayed to all the gods! What was the promise I’d made to my friends as we drank? Was it nothing, would I just die like this? I couldn’t wait or get up, but my clothing was soaked through with blood, and I knew it was too late. I watched my friends fight, my eyes tearing up knowing I’d never see them again, I hope my mother raises my sister well.. I said goodbye to this world and watched my figure slump down, without any breath left to give to the earth… I woke up, startled. My stomach felt like hellfire, but how was I alive? How was I breathing at this very moment, hadn’t I died? I looked down to examine my wound and see what changed- Oh hell… Where was my stomach.. gone, Gone…GONE!! An empty rib cage filled with flesh was in the spot the stab wound should be, just empty air and pain. Why was I still alive without organs, was this will of the gods? I needed to stop thinking and actually look around, to see what had changed, if anything had. Everything was different, this battlefield was filled with dried bones, picked clean. My friends were gone, dead, they weren’t alive like me. The place I was in had changed, trees had surrounded the field and wildflowers bloomed in all directions. Too pretty for a graveyard, all of my friends were here without a burial. I stood up, and immediately fell again, my bones had grown weak, and so had I. I was too hungry and thirsty to be able to do any REAL movement, it was too hard and too painful at the moment. I propped myself upon the wall I had died on, and found a stick to help me walk. I was able to move quicker. Nearby, I found a place with sky high buildings. It was filled with light and sound and loud yells of people, but it looked different from where I lived. The people weren’t yelling for joy, they were angry, and all of the places that looked like homes seemed like they didn’t want to see anyone, or even looked at others. People didn’t even care enough to look kindly at me, just sneers. I could feel myself losing consciousness, and that wasn’t good, I needed to find a safe place, and fast. I found a doorstep in a quiet corner of town and gave myself a moment of rest and then I collapsed. Ambri POV/backstory TW: HEAVY GORE MENTIONS Unraveling, again. I just woke up! I took out the sewing kit and stitched myself back together. I remember the pain I had felt when the fabric replaced my skin. It happened on a cold winter morning. I was tired, but I had to go to the doctor. My mom always booked stuff like that for me even though I was perfectly capable of doing it myself. I ate a small breakfast and walked out the door and down the block to the closest place my mom found. It looked shady, but most places do. When I went inside I was told to wait a few minutes, and then I went into a room that smelled like cleaning products and tasted like metal. The doctor came in and greeted me. “Good morning! I assume you’re Ambrinil?” The doctor said cheerfully “Yeah, that’s me. Just call me Ambri” I wasn’t very much in the mood for small talk, I missed coffee and had a bad sleep. “Well then, Ambri! We're going to do a scan on you and you’ll be right out!” the doctor grinned and walked out of the room, telling me to lay down on the hard mattress-looking thing in the far corner of the room. Why would you have to do a scan if it’s just a check up, I wondered? I wish I had gotten out of there right then. The scan was done, and the doctor came in with a worried face. “I’m sorry but you’ve got a common illness in your veins, we think it’s street flu, so we’ll have to give you a few shots and a blood test” Street flu? What was that? If this is some fake ass fancy doctor i swear- Clamps On my arms I struggled, but I couldn't move, they had me trapped. The doctor came in again and removed his mask to show a face that looked like it came out of a zombie movie “Now! Let’s begin!” The doctor took out a knife and drove it straight though my skin, I screamed, no one even came in. More doctors came into the room and started marking me with blue pens in little dotted lines. Then, they cut. Deep into my skin. And all of my skin, in a large chunk, was ripped off. The worst pain I had ever been in in my life, and I couldn't do anything about it. I lied there, crying. Then the doctors came in again, this time with a purple fabric and needles with thread. The fabric was laid over me and then stitched it into my flesh. It was terrible, and gruesome, something beyond R-rated. This was torture, but they eventually finished and let me up, and before I could end their lives, I was back at my house. I ran back to the place the doctor's office was, and it was gone. The shop said “FOR RENT” I asked the people around where the doctors office was and they just looked at me funny and walked away. Was I crazy?! My skin looked normal. I went home and looked in the mirror at myself, and.. Oh no.. the fabric skin was back. My reflection didn’t look like me, it looked like a doll with purple skin. And that's why I stay inside.. It’s been about 10 months since my skin was gone, and the stitch pieces of fabric to my skin often unravel, so I have to sew myself up at least once every 2 weeks. I mostly stay inside and do work from home. I'm low on money, but it doesn’t matter as long as I have housing. It was late in the evening when I heard a thump at my doorstep, heavy enough to be a person, but a small or thin one. I grabbed a fork, and checked out the door, and saw a person , tall but thin and.. They were missing their stomach.. Like, an empty gaping hole was in their ribcage. I knew I had to do something, but should I take them to the police or help them? I decided to bring them to my apartment and see if they were dead or not. Their ribcage was GONE like nothing there, and it looked painful, but they were still breathing. They had a ripped up shirt and a cloak barely keeping them warm. Bandages were in the other room so I grabbed them and bandaged up their ribs, and cleaned their wounds. I slowly saw them waking up so I went into another room and put on my human makeup and prayed they weren’t gonna kill me. I've written more so I'll be posting it in forums at abt 2 chapters per post! 8 Chapters written so far!
