(Court of Lilies) Working out the relationships between characters because I just couldn’t decide who to make Bassie most jealous of Originally I didn’t want to officially “villainize” any of the characters and I just wanted to have it be an uneasy relationship between Looey and Bassie, but sorry Yatta fans in advance, there’s a chance she won’t be nice…. (Idk yet, still kinda working it out) Bassie + Looey: partners, in romance and circus; Bassie relies on Looey’s support, which he wonders if he’s providing enough for her, since he takes her need for affirmation as a sign of distance. Their relationship got choppier as Bassie started to cling to him, having a lack of friends, fearing replacement, and feeling as if she wasn’t as good as others for her role. Bassie + Cocoa: They were friends, but ever since Looey and Bassie were put into the Circus as Arthur or Delilah’s side project (idk which yet Idk their lore/personalities), Bassie started to suspect that Cocoa’s overly friendly and supportive nature was her attempts of showing up to Looey and A/D, and Bassie became rather dismissive of Cocoa, leading her to grow concerned and feel under appreciated. Bassie + Teagan: Teagan was who Bassie would go to for support in her early circus days. She had a rather motherly bond towards Bassie. However, they interacted less and less as her relationship with Cocoa faded out, and Bassie began secluding her emotions in order to seem and feel more in control of herself. While Teagan still cared for her, she wouldn’t include herself in Bassie’s affair and gave her arguably too much space. Bassie + Yatta: Yatta always wanted to be part of the Circus project; her bold personality and high energy made her yearn to be center stage, but A/D didn’t give her the role she wanted. She began showing up to Looey, which put their friendship at a tipping point, because she wanted to prove that she could play the part, maybe even better than Bassie could. She convinced herself that subtly sabotaging Bassie’s acts would make her seem less practiced. As Bassie spiralled, Yatta became more and more pushy, leading to Looey feeling like he had to cut their friendship for everyone’s sake. I’m sure I forgot stuff and some makes no sense but shhhhhh
