A reminder about bringing your pets outside of the house...

If you are going to go outside of the house & idk take your dog for a walk or something or whatever animal/pet you're bringing outside really, ALWAYS have them on a leash or some form of restrainment where they can still have control over their own movement without running too far off. And if you think that your animal/pet might run off or be very chaotic without restrainment, either keep them heavily restrained or don't even bring them at all. It has happended in my own personal life atleast three times in which an animal, MOSTLY A DOG, is unleashed & has caused either distress or harm to someone. The first time this happended a dog was unleashed at the park while my mother was there & was bit by it. She is okay, but imagine if that wasn't a full grown adult & instead a 3 month old child or someone who is, idk allergic to dogs. Even worse the couple who owned this dog acted like everything was fine when my mother had been bitten on the leg by it. Second time, which wasn't serious but is still a reminder to leash, was when I was at my bus stop in which a cute pitbull ran up to me & as someone who isn't very used to dogs this did scare me a bit but she was very friendly. Only problem is that my bus stop is right next to an open road, meaning that its USSUALLY pretty busy or has cars driving there very often, so say I wasn't in front of her & across the street yeah I don't think theres anything stopping her from running into the road lwk✌️I should add her owner was right there too cutting the grass & told me that she was very friendly. Third time, which was yesterday night, was when I had came back from a friend's house & shortly afterwards a small weiner dog was BARKING on my front porch while its owner was doing a pretty bad job at trying to get it to come back. After it had left I went to go pick up my cat & my poor baby was actually so scared he backed up from me with his poofed up tail. I am grateful that my cat wasn't hurt in this situation, but I am still personally bothered because imagine that hadn't been a small weiner dog just barking & it was an actual wild dog of some sort. So TL;DR, please always keep your pets on a leash or some form of restrainment when going out the house, & if you know or don't trust that they might be a bit dangerous outside, keep them in. You'll be doing a favor for everyone's safety. i'd lowkey kill to see the pitbull again tho she was very cute
