Basically, when Hades was kidnapping Persephone to be his queen, he gave her a few pomegranate seeds. In Greek mythology, if you eat the food of the dead, you are bound to the underworld. So then Demeter (Persephone’s mom if I remember) found out about it and got mad and kind split the custody: in spring and summer, Persephone can be with Demeter, in fall and spring, Persephone is back with Hades in the underworld. This also explains the seasons in mythology! When Persephone is with Demeter, she get happy and allows the crops to grow (for spring and summer), but when Persephone goes back to Hades, Demeter gets upset and doesn’t allow any crops to grow (for the fall and the winter) This one was a little more choppy but youre free to ask questions You can still recommend me stories to talk about!
