How to slowly subtly reveal to your family that yous are interested in something (like a furry)

E
I'm a furry (someone who has interest in anthropomorphic creatures and optionally wears a fursuit) but basically I didn't want to just go up to my family and be like "yo guess what" So here's how to ***subtly*** reveal you have an interest in something to your family! *heh heh heh* So basically what I did is since I like crafting and stuff I "discovered" I wanted to make a costume of this one character who has a tail! So I looked up tutorials for how to make the tail and it was a lot of fursuit tutorials and my family is pretty chill about random things like that and doesn't hate on anyone so that was a bonus :) But I made sure that I researched most of the things for this costume in my family's presence so they could see what I was doing and also clicked on plenty of related websites and videos about fursuit tails and such :3 Another thing I did was mention cool things to them that I saw such as "woah, look at this its so cool" when I actually found things that might be genuinely interesting to them :0 From there I brought up stuff related to my costume such as "Oh if I were making a cat tail or whatever I saw this one instagram post or youTube video about this person in a suit with a cat tail and thought that was cool" So basically over time I just familiarized them with the subject and showed that I had an interest in it I almost staged my progress in discovering the subject right in front of them so that they were able to understand what it really was that I was interested in and then I could work on the actual term for it later :3 Sorry I made you read so much! give your eyes and brain a wonderful break with this lovely gif I've included >:D ![](https://media0.giphy.com/media/qhLwaybQQWVe8/200w.webp?cid=5a9118715y2hmz4eatvdx5nmrym7x8eaopf2fjyw91tarfsb&ep=v1_gifs_search&rid=200w.webp&ct=g)
