i need ur opinions

hellooo okay so. we turn 15 this year (gasp!!) and we still dont have a phone. now, this wouldnt be an issue like, 5 years ago, but nowadays we feel SO. left out because its like, uncool to not have a phone especcially in high school. our parents lie to us all the time and say we're getting a phone this year and they say that every year and they never do. when we have free time in classes, everyone is on their phone meanwhile we're just awkwardly sitting there. its just kinda humiliating. and i genuinely have NO idea why they wont get us one. ALSO, we go out a lot with our friend and we have no way to contact them other than our friend's phone ... its not a money issue, and we havent done anything to make it seem like we shouldnt be allowed a phone. we dont really 'hide' anything from our parents. we're hoping to get a job this year and save up for a phone, but its so dumb that we have to save up our own money to do it meanwhile our brother (TEN YEARS OLD btw) gets to talk to random strangers on voice chat and our parents are willing to drop 100 dollars on a new ps5 controller for him and another 100 for ps+ for him aswell, while we're over here with literally just a tv and a wack ass ps4 that doesnt even work properly anymore so whats your opinion on all this?? this isnt a vent, i just want to see what you guys think about teens having phones nowadays and the favoritism from parents in general OH and also really young people being able to voice chat freely with random strangers on the internet... -jake
