People need to know more internet safety

(some people may disagree with me, if so, just keep on doing you and forget this thread. No need to come after me for my own opinions. Also, a summary at the bottom if you wanna skip the mess of words below. **Edit: I added more new info at the last paragraph before the summary**) **ALSO, I forgot to state this with my first update to this. But I am NOT targeting anyone in specific, I love and care for all my 414 followers and wouldn't try to make them feel bad on purpose. Let me know if I did, I will make it right, I swear.** (8/31/25) I know that some of the people on here are just lil kiddos (I'm also a minor but not as young as they are) But I see them share their age and honestly its makes me really scared for them knowing the wrong person could now know and use it to their advantage!! I also come across some threads where people show big giveaways to where they live. I even saw people put the name of their school????? Like I could search it up then know you live close by to go to that school (not saying I would do that, just that someone with the wrong intentions could) I understand being close to people online, but this is a public place where anyone can come and see what you said thinking only your friend saw it. Also showing other peoples faces in the background of their photos, like if I was that person in the back I'd want my face blocked out for my own privacy if I didn't ask to be in that picture that was gonna be posted on some random website online (3/3/26) Alright, I feel I hit most the things I needed to in the first paragraph, but I feel the need to state this again and with more info. Online dating here is probably, from what I last read, not that encouraged here? I think Derek (the Kandi Pad admin) said he didn't want it? (as far as I know, **correct me if I'm wrong please**) But I see people posting asking for a partner and words cant describe how nervous I get for them. I saw someone age reveal to date and they were 12. A predator will take that bait without thinking twice, especially if you're asking to date. Plus you don't REALLY know the people here that well. I had an online relationship here, on KP, and got used for my body. Even when I thought I knew them well. I feel so much fear for that to happen to anyone else at all. Younger, even older than me, no one deserves that at all. Please. Pleaseee, just be careful. If you do go to online date, do it in a more safe and secure place with someone you've know for *at least* longer than a month :( But the takeaway from this is, DONT POST YOUR AGE IF YOU ARE YOUNG!!!! (about 13 and younger probably. Do keep in mind that people could just be asking to do nasty things :c) THINGS THAT CAN SHOW WHERE YOU LIVE!!!! ESPECIALLY SCHOOLS!!!!!!!
