Life is a funny thing Expected to do so much With so little time With so little energy You'll start, continue, and end A cycle, but you're just a piece A piece for the bigger textbook The book that won't end But, hey, life is funny that way Time is a funny thing It'll run faster than you know A race against a cheetah But it'll take forever A race against a turtle However no matter what your against A cheetah or a turtle You always seem to loose You're always behind Time is funny that way Age is a funny thing It will double, then triple, Then dare to quadruple But energy will be half, then third, And you'll get by with a fourth You'll be happy, you got what you wanted You got a car, you're done with school You got more freedom, and you got more money But now you wish to go back, the easy life you once had, But you can't, because age is funny that way
