Snippet of Yoru and Ranyo!

E
There was banging on my door. “What do you need, Ranyo?” I call to spite. The banging ceased, opening the door and walking in before I could object, Ranyo came over to me. The desk I was sitting at was old and dusty, finding it in the warehouse that we took over not a few months ago. “What are you doing?” He asks with a dissatisfied and harsh tone. Looking at my homework I groan and slump over the textbook. “Don’t remind me.” I sigh, closing my eyes. He starts laughing. “It’s not funny!” The laughs turn into wheezing, but after what seems like hours he finally stops. “Are you done yet? You know, you’re really starting to get on my nerves.” I hissed. “Glad to know I’m doing my job right, Ranyo at your service, Mister Akuyaku!” Ranyo boasts, smirking to himself. “You wanna go, shitty boy?” I ask, sneering. “Bet.” He says, disintegrating my pen. “What the fuck! That was my last good pen!” I yell at him, forming a dagger in my hand, feeling its familiar weight in my hand. My favorite we4pon to use, more difficult to fight with than a gun. Also makes it way more painful for the v!ct!m and more satisfying. on my end. “Come at me Yoru! I fucking dare you!” He shouted with a grin that looked wrong. I lunged at him, anger searing through my veins. “You better be happy I can’t destroy humans!” Ranyo spat, touching my dagger, and turning it to dust. I forged a new one, and went for his face. Disintegrating the new one, he laughed, an eerie laugh. Man he was good at that, I’ll have to ask him to teach me later. I growled, jumping back and creating throwing knves. Throwing all five at him I attempted to laugh like he does. Catching in my throat, I coughed violently, then I chuckled softly to myself clutching my heart. Distracted with my attempt to laugh, Ranyo destroyed only four out of the five. The fifth one just barely grazed his face, lodging itself about an inch into the concrete wall. “Good throw…” Ranyo trailed off, looking genuinely terrified. Although he only let it show a moment. “You alright?” He asks. “Yeah… I’m good, thanks.” I sighed. “We’ll continue this later.”
