this beautiful arguement I wrote for chemistry about hating clankers

for context, this was for a warm-up about AI, and one of the questions asked, "if you had to choose to invest in this form of AI, or that one, which would you choose, and why?" If I had to choose between investing my money in one form of AI or another, I would choose neither. There is no "right" way to use AI, and with each question you ask it, it's wasting water, something we need every day. I firmly believe that in 50 years or less, the world will become IRL Wall-E, and yet tech companies are trying to shove AI down our throats. For example, if you Google something, it's immediately an AI response. if everyone on earth Googles at least 5 things a day, that's 41,500,000,000 AI responses per DAY. and if AI uses 10 ounces of water per response, that 415,000,000,000 ounces of water daily, and if you convert that to gallons, that's 3,242,187,500 gallons of water DAILY. of course, this is hypothetical, but it's highly probable for the future. Another huge downside of the usage of AI, is how many jobs it's taking, especially artists, who spend countless of hours learning their trade. But AI can easily just take that art, smash it together with hundreds of other art works, just to make some half-baked piece of "art" that just looks awful. Even my job as a cashier could be taken over by AI, and that's not even half of it. I always joke about how the world will become the short story I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, but honestly, it's starting to look like that. What if AI becomes sentient? what if it becomes violentɁ̦ And what if there's no stopping it? I know this sounds like a crazy concept, but there is a chance, And I feel like these companies in support of AI should stop. It's ruining people's brains, and it's ruining people's lives.
