So I was looking at cosplays on Amazon (I'm sobbing they don't have KAITO...) and I came across a Toya Aoyagi one. Now, I don't have the money for it at the moment, so I decided to ask my grandparents if I could have it. Of course, they asked what it was. Normal. I showed them who it was based off of, and my grandpa said "Why would you wanna dress as a guy?" ...Now, I know he didn't mean it in a rude way, but I genuinely think an outfit like Toya's could be for all genders... Anywho, I found a Rui Kamishiro one! They were more accepting about that one, because it looks more feminine. The thing is, Rui's a boy... Here's how the conversation went: Y'know what I think would be awesome? "What's that?" This. *Points to the Toya Aoyagi cosplay* "What's on his shirt?" Good question! I dunno. "I think you should do some research on that beforehand." Fair point. "Also, why would you wanna dress as a boy?" ...uhm... "Doesn't make sense." Ah, okay. What about this one? *Points to the Rui Kamishiro one* "A lot better." Okay! "Definitely wouldn't wear that as a guy." ...yeahhh...! "If I saw a boy wearing that, that'd be wrong." *Mumbling*...it's just a really long jacket though... Then I went back upstairs because my phone was aboutta die Anywho yeahhh!
