Why I don't like to wear dresses and other feminine outfits [rant]

Ok so, every time I go to the store or something, my mom is constantly asking me to get a dress or a type of skirt, right? But I always say no. I've never told her or anyone else this, but the reason why I despise wearing that kind of stuff is because I don't wanna look like THEM. The kids that would have the ugliest reputations that wear makeup, have little cliques, and talk shit behind everybody's back. That's also why I ask someone who wears makeup and stuff if they have ever made fun of someone before or if they're in a clique. Because I was a VICTIM of those people and I hate being reminded of it. My days in middle school were the worst kinds of days, and thoughts have gone through my head leading up to HIGH SCHOOL. Sure, those popular kids have left me alone, but I'm scared of screwing up around them and risking getting made fun of again, and I think that's TERRIFYING. I'm not always the kind of person that is quick to judge, which is why it takes me a while to warm up to people, no matter what they look like. (by the way, plz don't make this into something that could turn into controversy, I'm just being straight-up honest)
