slight rant on upcoming movies

so, since the release of the Backrooms movie, movies are now being made for Siren Head, Cartoon Cat, Mandela Catalogue, and the SCP Foundation. Cool, right? well people on Etsy are being copyrighted for backrooms-inspired wallpapers and other items they made BEFORE THE MOVIE WAS MADE this is obviously bad because, firstly, they made it before the movie came out, and secondly, it makes no sense to suddenly start copyrighting things that are about a decade old because a movie was made about it this rant is inspired by a YouTuber we watch, Still Saverino, who brought up the hypothetical of the whole Mandela Catalogue channel being copyrighted after the movie another hypothetical we would like to bring up is that if they continue with this, taking popular internet horror pieces and turning them into movies, it is inevitable that they stumble upon smaller, younger creators such as Dr Nowhere (who isn't small, but young at 17/18) and adapting their work to movies, then copyrighting what is essentially their portfolio wdk this is kinda stupid and we dont expect yall to read alla this ![](https://media1.giphy.com/media/l41m4ODfe8PwHlsUU/200w.webp?cid=5a911871u23w3fp4du8omogkn5l5x9mbojkqwrg2irl9590m&ep=v1_gifs_search&rid=200w.webp&ct=g) ˗ˏˋ ♡ ˎˊ˗Leo˗ˏˋ ♡ ˎˊ˗
