religious and gay

I'm unsure whether I have a large enough following or reach to find people from the same minority as me. I hope some people do relate to being raised religious and finding yourself in your sexuality. My life has always been confusing with these two contradicting ideas in my head; both things are important to me equally. I'm an active, practicing Catholic and also have an amazing partner. It's incredibly difficult for me to be both, considering that in Catholicism, it's suggested that gay people practice chastity. It's really saddening for me, on top of struggling with internal homophobia unrelated to my religion. ( that isn't to say i hate my own religion or think anything in it is stupid) I hope to find people who relate, understand, undersatnd or are going through the exact same situation. god loves all of you, no matter what you identify as or who you love, so i hope knowing you're not alone on this helps if you are struggling🩷
