sosososo like okay so i go by selene im trans femme / mtf... yaadaa yaaaaaaddaaaa. anywho so im a junior. im taking college classes. soooo like Georgia Southern University (wah wah its a college, whatchu gonna do) they have this nifty little thing in my personal information... PREFFERED NAME so i fill out my legal deadname since im still a minor and uh i put Selene as my preffered name. forget about it MUCH LATER i get added to political science they call role "...Selene?" my heart drops to my knees. NO ONE in high school exept for like... TWO PEOPLE know me as selene. they know me as... well, my deadname. so i sheepishly raise my hand. ...IM IN THE FRONT OF THE CLASS. ...WHERE EVERYONE SEES. "...is there a Selene?" *raises hand a teeny bit higher* "oh... ooohhh" and moves on. WOAH. i thought Georgia Southern would like... ya know, use my deadname... the name on my birth cirtificate. the name on by drivers liscence. NOT SELENE so i had to explain to people "yeah im trans" ...I LIVE IN GEORGIA
