INTRODUCTION Bess stumbled around as she walked through her new school. The halls were full of people, talking loudly. It makes it hard to breathe. “Ah,” she squeaks, dropping her books. Antonio walks through with his group, dressed in all black, his wings hitting many others in the head. He looks down at his sister in disgust, then continues to walk. “Dude, she’s so clumsy!” One says, loud enough for Bess to hear down the hall. “I know,” Antonio snorts. “She’s so lame.” Bess looks down at her school books, everyone laughing around her. She bites back hot tears, picking her stuff up as fast as possible, then runs off, avoiding people's elbows. A tall girl, dressed in bright blue, glared at Bess as she ran through. “What’s her deal?” She looks around at her group. “I dunno,” One says, “Maybe she’s special.” She snickers. The girl who asked then walked up, putting her arm on Bess’s shoulder, then smiles. “What’s your name? I’m Cora!” Cora Flores is a 19-year-old chemistry student who enjoys Rubik's Cube, cookery, and recycling. She is intelligent and reliable, but can also be very rude and a bit grumpy. She is an American who defines herself as straight. She is currently at college, studying chemistry. She has a severe phobia of crocodiles and is obsessed with selfies. Physically, Cora is in good shape. She is short with olive skin, brown hair, and brown eyes. She grew up in an upper-class neighbourhood. After her mother died when she was young, she was raised by her father. She is currently in a relationship with Rick Kristin Foster. Rick is the same age as her and works as a carpenter. Cora's best friend is a chemistry student named Pixie Turner. The three are inseparable. She also hangs around with Macey Garcia and Piers Ramos; they enjoy reading together. “Uh… Me?
