My elementary school was WILD

E
(Tw: scissors) I just remembered this one time near the end of my time at that school. So, it was the 13th last day of elementary school for me and the school was doing an end of year play day for the primary and kindergarteners, and at the time that this happened it was lunch recess. They had bubbles and chalk and jump ropes and sports balls etc. but apparently one kid had a pair of scissors, and the kid CHUCKED THE PAIR OF SCISSORS ACROSS THE SCHOOL YARD and where I was standing I was the only one right in the path of the scissors, and these weren’t safety scissors, they were sharp and could do damage. So these scissors were moving FAST towards me, and because of how fast they were moving I could only see the colour of the handle ( the blade colour matched the colour of the pavement) so I thought it was a ball, so I almost didn’t move cause why bother. I ended up moving and decided to watch the “ball” go across the yard, and by the time it would have got to me if I didn’t move it would have hit me RIGHT IN THE LEG, SHARP BLADE SIDE FIRST AT FULL SPEED. (Btw I was close enough to the scissors by now that I could see some of the blade). It was only after at had slowed down that I put the puzzle pieces together that it was a pair of scissors (my brain didn’t process the blade entirely yet when I first saw it). I also couldn’t tell who threw it because I didn’t see them throw it. I did see one kid though look at the scissors as it was moving so… could have been him. When I told the other kids though (I was very popular around the younger kids in eighth grade) they all said that it was probably this one kid, I won’t say their name however because they was at most eight when this happened. This also happened the day before one of my grad trips (we had two regular halfish day trips as our grad trips because the principal wouldn’t approve of any ideas that the teachers had for the trip, which sucked because we were told that how big our grad trip was all depended on how good we were, but I’m used to being told that our class isn’t good enough to even go home when the bell goes so…)
