🌼 Try any color palette you want and have fun. 🌼 All the patterns needed are in my profile. 🌼 You are gonna need hot glue.
Step 1
▶ Iron until you don't see the pixels, all pieces must be pretty flat ⚠️ Iron one side (FOR NOW): - Petals - Anthers - Stigma and style - Operculum
Step 2
▶ One by one, iron the other side and bend a little the Operculum, anthers, style and stygma. ▶ I forgot to take a pic but for the petals just have fun bending to make 'em look natural. As long as they're a little bit bended to the inside of the flower it's okay and enough if you don't want to bend more. Advice: ⚠️ Take piece out of the ironing paper/fabric/acetate while hot. ⚠️ Give it a couple seconds to cool off a little bit before doing it or the piece will make bubbles or stick to the paper. ⚠️ Use mittens, gloves or a towel, whatever let you maneuver better. ⚠️ You have to keep the piece in the position for 2-3 mins. ⚠️ If you don't want to use your hands, you can use something with the shape you want to give to the piece like a small bowl.
Step 3
▶ This is how you are gonna pile op 5 of the 6 pieces of the androgynophore. You can glue them now or later. Glue the pieces interleaved one vertical and one horizontal.
Step 4
▶ This is the order that you have to glue all pieces. 🛑 BIG Disclaimer 🛑 Later in the process I noticed that it is WAY better to not glue the flower base just now.
Step 5
▶This is how it should be looking by now. ⚠️ Don't be afraid of using much hot glue, it actually make the thing look a little more like a flower.
Step 6
▶ Cut the filaments you made in half. ⚠️ The more you make of this the better.
Step 7
▶ Glue the petals to the flower base. ▶ Leave a good amount of hot glue in the hole you made with the petals. ▶ Glue the dark end of the filaments to the glue blob. Glue them flat. 🛑 This is why you don't glue base to the rest of the androgynophore before. ⚠️ Be careful with the petals positioning, you can end up with no space. If you want you can just make 8 petals. ⚠️ If the glue from the blob cools off just put the tip of your hot glue pistol for a couple seconds.
Step 8
▶ Glue the androgynophore in the center of the base.
