Hello! In this tutorial, I will be teaching you how to make a kandi dreamcatcher! This is an intermediate-level tutorial.

Step 1

Start off with a wingspan of string, then put 8 beads onto the string. Tie it off so that one end is longer then the other, then cut the shorter tail. It should look like the image above.

Step 2

Thread your string into the nearest corner bead, then put three beads on your string and go into the next corner. Repeat all the way around.

Step 3

When you've finished the previous step, you should have a kandi square. Then thread the string so it's coming out of the tip of one of your corners.

Step 4

Then you are going to add 5 beads and thread into the next corner. Repeat all the way around.

Step 5

It should be a bit rounder now. Have the string coming out of the tip of one of your new corners.

Step 6

Now you're going to put 7 beads on your string and thread through the next corner again. Repeat all the way around.

Step 7

Once you're finished with that, thread the string up to the tip again. This will be the start of your last row.

Step 8

Thread 9 beads onto the string and go through the next corner. Repeat all the way around. This is the final row

Step 9

When you have tied it off and finished the base, it should look like this. Now we are going to work on the tassels.

Step 10

You're going to put a piece of string through a bead like this. Then you are just going to ladder stitch to however long you want the tassel to be.

Step 11

Should look something like this when you are done with that.

Step 12

You're going to do the same thing on these 2 beads right here.

Step 13

After that it should look like this, you can add more tassels if you want.

And that's that! You've officially finished your kandi dreamcatcher! Thank you for using this tutorial!
