Heres a tutorial on how to make a Kandi possum! It uses the latter stitch :)
Step 1
there are different patterns, I'm making a pastel possum :D but start of with one bead for the nose
Step 2
now use two beads to widen the snout, using the latter stitch put the beads on one string and thread the other string through them and pull
Step 3
widen with three, in this step the outer beads would be your eyes.
Step 4
then keep going with three beads!
Step 5
add the ears like this, the feet will work the same way thread it through the next bead. the other side works the same way :)
Step 6
now add three beads again!!!
Step 7
then four beads :D now we're widening the body!! :D
Step 8
now we're making the feet you need 6 bead for all 4 of the feet and thread the string through the first three to make the toes the other side works the same way :)
Step 9
now make it wider! string on 5 beads!!! do this again :) (once more so you have two rows or columns of 5 beads)
Step 10
now repeat step eight :) it should look like the photo above
Step 11
now decrease to four beads :) and after that decrease to two beads
Step 12
now decrease to one! you can make the tail as long as you'd like but typically the tail is 6 beads!!! and make sure to tie it off when you're done!!!
