Hiiiii! I'm gonna teach you how to make that cool mask style that I used for the cover! I'm not making the exact one, instead I'm sourcing my pictures from a Youtube tutorial. :p Original video link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W64JyUuSQrQ Also please note that there are many different sizes of these masks, and plenty of creators use different dimensions than shown in this tutorial

Step 1

First thing to do (after you find a pattern) is get the beads you need! I would suggest laying them out how they're gonna be in the mask like shown above^^^

Step 2

Next, use those beads to make your starting row. (this mask type will use a standard multi stitch not peyote or anything just so you know)

Step 3

Make the next two rows

Step 4

On the next row, once you reach the start of the bottom of the V, instead of adding a bead, thread the string/elastic through the beads in the rows below it (like shown above)

Step 5

Make more rows, continuing to thread the elastic/string through the beads in the previous rows so that the Vs will form

Step 6

Keep doing this until the tips have fully formed. I usually like to tighten the top row more than all the other ones so that it is better shaped for your nose. Make sure you tie off and cut the end once you're done. After you finish the top, it's time to move onto the bottom part!

Step 7

For the bottom rows, once the pattern says to start decreasing the beads in each row, make sure you use less and less beads for each row and thread your string through the final bead, then make it go back through the last bead you attached in the row

Step 8

Keep decreasing each row until you are done and it looks like this! ^^^ For the middle section of the bottom, use the same technique as earlier where you thread the string through the previous rows. And remember to tie it off!

Step 9

Finally, for the straps just make most of a single and tie it to the corners of one side. Make sure you fit it correctly so that the mask is wearable and doesn't hurt your ears or anything :)

I hope you liked my tutorial! If you need ideas for sub zero masks to make, either look them up, or I also have plenty of patterns that I designed on my profile page :) Have fun with your mask! PS- this was my first tutorial hope you liked it :p
