I believe this is called the surgeons knot? (Don’t trust my memory)
Step 1
So first get your two strings/ string ends you plan to tie together
Step 2
Cross one over the other, I’m using on finger to hold top the string taught since that makes it easier. There should be a triangle shaped hole
Step 3
Take the top string (the one you crossed over the other string and wrap it around the bottom string so the top string is going away from you and pull it through the triangle hole
Step 4
Pull it taught. And remember, you got this! Tying knots can be hard cause it’s pretty easy to mess up on them, so don’t feel bad if you tie it at the wrong spot or it’s not the right length.
Step 5
Repeat step 2 with either string!
Step 6
Loop the top string around the bottom string and through the hole again, but don’t pull it taught right away! Instead you’re going to loop it around again! So it will have gone through the triangle twice instead of once!
Step 7
Now you can pull it taught!
Step 8
All done! If you’re worried about it snapping I recommend adding super glue or some other strong liquid adhesive (nail polish works!)
