I made this using size 11/0 Delica beads. Use whatever colors you want really, I used what I had on hand. Peyote stitch for the band, brick stitch for the end caps. Once finished I wove them all together. I ended up not including the little square of dots at each end of the band because it ended up being long enough without them for my needs but I have left them in this pattern should you want to make it longer for larger books. Fits a standard size US paperback without the dot squares at each end of the band in my experience.
