Hi peoplez! Oki so for this ur gonna need 1. Air dry clay (i use crayola) 2. Paper 3. Something to draw/color with 4. Something to cut the paper with 5. Something to cut the clay with 6. A toothpick (or something similar in size) 7. Some type of sealer (i use mod podge but glue or clear nail polish might work)
Step 1
MAKE SURE TO READ THE WHOLE TUT BEFORE TRYING
Step 2
Draw what you want to make into a bead ^^ (you can collor it in too i just didn't feel like coloring) (You can also print something out idc man)
Step 3
Cut it out (be careful not to hurt yourself please!!!)
Step 4
Roll out some of the clay (make sure its not super thin and is at least a little thicker then the tooth pick) (i used a lip oil container to make it flat lolz)
Step 5
Set your drawing on top ^^ It should stick a little bit, but if it doesn't I recommend putting a small bit of water on your finger and rubbing it on the clay just to make it a bit more yet. BE CAREFUL NOT TO PUT TO MUCH WATER IF YOU DO THIS
Step 6
Cut it out in the same shape (once again be careful if you use something sharp)
Step 7
Poke a hole into it with a tooth pick ^^
Step 8
Wait for it to dry :P it took like a whole night for me :((( MAKE SURE ITS FULLY DRY patients is key my friendz
Step 9
When itz dry the paper may stop sticking. (If you push thr picture into the clay a little bit then it won't stop sticking.)
Step 10
Glue the paper to the clay (im just using my mod podge as glue
Step 11
Coat it in whatever sealer your using (The the drawing may smudge depending on what using to seal it and what you use to draw/color) I usually do the sides first (to help the paper stick)
Step 12
If your worried about it smudging you can use some kinda sealing spray ^^
Step 13
Make sure to go outside (touch some grass bro 😺) or at least go to a well ventilated area if your spraying something
Step 14
I still put the other kind on the sides of it to help the paper stay on : >
Step 15
Let it dry When it dryz do multiple coatz and let them dry too
Step 16
Oh also this may happen. You may be able to superglue it back together or it may crumble. The only way I can figure out to prevent this is to make sure to make the clay is thick when you put the toothpick thru it so that when it drys the clay around the hole isn't to thin
Step 17
Once all the mod podge dryz you can use ur bead ^w^
Step 18
Ok so this is me months later making more beads and being a little more skilled at it. Another way to make sure the paper stays on after you seal it/doesn't peel off the sides would be to make sure to cut the clay a little bigger then the paper so it has a little more room. The picture is an example (i do not recommend making the beads/ charms as big as I did tho)
Like the tut if you like it dont if ya dont like it. But if you dont like it I would like to know why (not forcing) so if you have any better ideas I would like to know to make it better ^^ https://kandipad.com/forum/help-and-tips/this-is-related-to-a-tut-i-made-back-in-a-10910752 (The link is to a forum I made about this so you can tell me your thoughts/ideas)
