hi, today you’re going to be learning how to make a kandi star cuff! this will be pretty easy if you know how to make a carousel cuff, theres just different measurements. (this is my first tutorial if anything is confusing please let me know!)
Step 1
first, make a 2x tall x-base cuff. im not going to be teaching you how to do that but there are tutorials for that on here. the starting single will have to be 30 beads long if you want a standard 5-pointed star, but if you want more points you can add more beads in multiples of 6.
Step 2
next, put 9 beads onto your string. skip the connector bead next to the one you came out of and go into the second one over. repeat this until you have 5 points.
Step 3
take the string down to the very bottom in a connector bead and repeat step 2.
Step 4
once you’re finished adding all the points take your string up to the very middle bead of the closest point.
Step 5
add 5 beads onto your string and put it through the middle bead of the point above the one you’re coming out of.
Step 6
put your string back through those five beads and go through the bead on the bottom point.
Step 7
repeat step 5+6 until you have five beads coming through all the points.
Step 8
if your points are not too sturdy we’re going to fix that right now. string to this bead that’s in the exact middle of the base add on four beads and string it through the middle bead in the support column. then add on four more beads and put it through the next middle bead on the base. keep doing this until you have them all around
Step 9
tighten the cuff if necessary, tie it off, and adjust the support columns
