Disclaimer: You must know how to do a basic peyote stitch or multistitch in order to follow this tutorial. If you do not know how to make either of those, find a tutorial for those first. (Beau is the tiger puppet who shows up in this tutorial by the way)
Step 1
Start with a peyote stitch base that looks like this. (Ignore this if you are doing multistitch instead)
Step 2
Weave over to the other side with one of the strings and tie off. (Ignore this if you are doing multistitch instead)
Step 3
Do the same with the other one, but don't tie off yet. (Ignore this if you are doing multistitch instead)
Step 4
Put the string through this loop on the other side. (feel free to tie it differently if you know a better way) (Ignore this if you are doing multistitch instead)
Step 5
Now put it through this one (feel free to tie it differently if you know a better way) (Ignore this if you are doing multistitch instead)
Step 6
Now put it through this bead next to where you started. (feel free to tie it differently if you know a better way) (Ignore this if you are doing multistitch instead)
Step 7
Pull tight and tie off. (feel free to tie it differently if you know a better way) (Ignore this if you are doing multistitch instead)
Step 8
Tie a new string on like this.
Step 9
Add 5 beads, skip a white bead, and go through the next white bead.
Step 10
Repeat this all the way around.
Step 11
Do the same on the bottom.
Step 12
Grab a new string, add 10 beads, and tie off like a single. Don't cut the longer string.
Step 13
Add 3 beads, skip a bead, and go through the next bead.
Step 14
Repeat this all the way around and tie off.
Step 15
Now, there are 2 ways to tie on the star. For the first one, grab a new string, put it through one of the top beads on your star, put it through the top bead on one of your spikes, then tie it off.
Step 16
For the second one, grab a new string, put it through a bead that has no spikes (if you have one), add 2 beads, put it through one of the top beads on your star, and tie off, (this is what I did for mine.)

And now you're done! Enjoy your new cuff!
