helloooo!!! this tutorial is for if you have any earrings that you don't wear anymore but still think are cute, if someone gave you earrings that you don't wear or any other reason to have earrings that you never wear, instead you can turn them into charms for jewelry like kandi!!

Step 1

what you'll need: pliers (multiple if possible) earrings with the metal wire backing (optional) small beads that fit on the wire backing

Step 2

Before you do anything to the earrings, If you are planning to add this to something right after turning this into a charm then figure out where you would like to place it beforehand where it is much easier to remove and add the earring to wherever you think it would look good at

Step 3

Also, if you have any small beads that'll fit onto the earring backing then experiment with that to see if any will look good on the wire backing before turning it into a charm

Step 4

Now, to actually turn this into a charm; you need to grab onto the curved side of the metal backing with one hand/plier and use the pliers on the other hand to curve the end piece into itself like in the picture. You can just leave it here if you're using it on thicker cord but...

Step 5

if you want the loop to be tighter then I recommend either cutting it off which takes wire cutters (and a ton of grip strength especially for older wire) or you can grab onto the curve facing the front and near the back here the end is curve, take that and try to curve it around the bottom until the loop is the size you want and make sure the end doesn't point out (like in the picture) so while wearing it, it wont poke you.

and there, you should have a nice little earring charm to add to your kandi (and other jewelry). Thank you for viewing this! hope you all have fun with your new charms!!! <3
