This tutorial is especially targeted for beginners who are having a hard time actually enjoying Kandi making. todays 3 tips will help you fall in love with Kandi again or make you love it more. (most pictures from google)
Step 1
Tip 1- when I started Kandi I would do it in a stiff wooden chair at a dining table. it was uncomfortable and I didn't like it. it made making Kandi feel like something I had to do not something I wanted to do. then the chair and table got messy. I couldn't find things beads were every where and soon It felt like a chore not an activity. so what I did was I moved my Kandi stuff to my room I bought a bean bag chair and a fun table. after it felt like a reward to do kandi, to be in my chair, my table. so what this tip is about is for you to clean your Kandi space, maybe even a change of scenery. a fresh start always feels good.
Step 2
Tip 2- This tip is targeted more for beginners but can still apply for everyone no think about the hardest thing you've made in your Kandi journey. (hardest doesn't mean biggest) on that piece Did you get mad? did you yell, leave and come back later, cry, strait up quit? that might be a sign that its to hard for you right now. skill level is a real thing. if your a beginner you cant make your first kandi single and kandi backpack on the same day. (and if you do that's mad impressive) but what I'm saying is pace yourself take your time work your way up from singles, to key chains, to hearts, to squares, to cuffs, to X base, and so on. and even if you do try something out of your comfort zone don't get mad if it doesn't work out. take a break, make different crafts then come back to it another time. there is no rush when it comes to Kandi.
Step 3
Tip 3- Entertainment, back to the previous tip I've gotten frustrated at patterns loads of times but what helps me is entertainment. personally I love putting on a movie while I make a kandi clown, or popping on headphones and jamming out to a playlist or podcast while I pound out some Kandi charms. this (for me) makes it a little more enjoyable and it doesn't have to be a podcast or movie, you could be on the phone or watching a youtube video. but finding that little extra something to help you vibe while making Kandi is so worth it.
thank you so much for looking at today's Tips and Tricks episode. I hope love kandi again, or even more than you used to. keep your eyes pealed for new episodes, but until then Pony Bead Unlimited out
