Kandi Pad v5: Phase 2 is Live!

KPv5 Phase 2 is officially finished and I am now onto Phase 3! This Phase 2 update focuses heavily on giving you more control over your experience, bringing huge improvements to notifications, rolling out highly anticipated profile customizations, and introducing the ability to create and share your own site themes. *See the [KPv5 Roadmap](https://kandipad.com/forum/announcements/kpv5-update-info-roadmap-97992058) for complete information.* **Check out the full changelog below for everything included in this update:** ## **Site Appearance and Experience** * **Theme Gallery & Customizer:** You can now create your own custom site themes and share them with other users! * **Background Beads Toggle:** Added a settings option to disable the falling background beads if you find them distracting. ## **Profiles & KPXP** * **Profile Customizations:** You can now (a) change the order of your profile homepage sections, and (b) style your profile card and profile page *(Pro*)* for everyone who views your profile. - *Note:* Full profile page customizations are for Kandi Pad Pro users only. With a lot of trials and testing, I determined that allowing everyone to fully skin their own profiles becomes too jarring/messy and can actually be detrimental to the user experience and site as a whole (especially when combined with every user using a different site theme). I will be revisiting and adding more profile customization options in the future. - Profile cards will also be used in the near future for more than just your profile page! * **KPXP Stability:** Your visible KPXP will stop fluctuating up and down, and will only go up from now on. ## **Notifications** * **Granular Settings:** Separated pattern, forum, and tutorial notification settings so they can all be handled individually. * **Notification Filtering:** Added toggles to the notification list to allow filtering of your notifications by type. * **Bug Fix:** Fixed a notification settings bug where indirect notifications were still being sent even if toggled off in user settings. ## **Forums & Community** * **Under 13 Access:** Allowed [restricted] forum access for users under 13 years old. * **Automated Content Filters:** Implemented an automated content filter for forum posts with updated content rating modification rules. * **Team Page Update:** Included Admins, Moderators, and PQCs to the team page: [https://kandipad.com/meet-our-moderators](https://kandipad.com/meet-our-moderators) ## **Phase 3** Phase 3 will be all about the editor.
