Hello! In this tutorial I will give you a few simple steps on how to make your own x-base kandi cuff. The martials you will need are pony beads, stretchy string (I recommend cloth raped not clear), and scissors.
Step 1
For the first step cut off a large piece of you string around an arm's length (and don't worry if you run out you can always tie on more!) Next, take your pony beads and put then on the string in the pattern off 2 beads of the same color and 1 bead of one color (For example, pink, pink, blue, pink, pink, blue) until you have enough so that it comfortably fits around your wrist you want it to basically fit like a Kandi single. Then slowly move your beads to one end of the string but not so they fall off just so they are not too far in the middle of your string. Lastly just tie it off with 3 knots but DONT cut off your string when you finish tying it (you can cut off the small tail but not the big one).
Step 2
Now, what you're going to do for the next step is first make sure that your string is coming out of the nearest "1 bead" (In the previous example since the pattern went pink, pink, blue it would be the blue bead on you kandi single) You will be able to tell if you went the wrong way if there is a small piece of string on top of the bead your string is coming out of. Then take 3 pony beads in the color/colors of your choice and add then onto you string then take your string and pull it through to the nearest "1 bead" on you kandi single in the direction that your string is coming out of but not the opposite direction. This should create a small spike/triangle and if it does not try pulling your string a bit harder to get it to form that shape. Then repeat that all the way around the cuff until you get to the end and then slide you string up to the point of the spike in the direction that your string is coming out of.
Step 3
Next you are basically going to be doing the same thing as the last direction with taking 3 beads and creating spikes/triangles, but this time you are just putting your string into the nearest point of the spike in the direction that your string is coming out of. You are also going to do the same thing when you finish doing the spikes all the way around the cuff where you slide your string up and through to the point of the nearest spike.
Step 4
For the final step what you are going to do is only take 2 pony beads this time and do the same thing all the way around your cuff where you put you string through the point of the nearest spike in the direction that that your string is coming out of. Make sure to pull your string fairly tight in this last step to make sure your cuff isn't too loose. Then all you have to do is once you have gone all the way around your cuff is tie it off by putting your string underneath the closest spike and moving it so it close to the bead your string is coming out of and then tie it off 3 times repeating the steps of going under the spike to hide your knot. Lastley just cut off you extra string and you're done!
I hope you enjoyed this tut I am sorry if it was a bit confusing at times, but I would love to hear your thoughts and feed back! Thank you so much for checking this out :D
