Hiiii! :D today I'm making a cuff for my close friend! And I want to inform you that this tutorial only explains how to continue when you can't secure the bead in an odd numbered pattern! If you need to learn how to make a normal peyote stitch l recommend finding another tutorial. I have one on my acc but there's plenty of others as well. This can be used for a cuff (like I'm doing) or other projects like masks, ties, panels or anything else!

Step 1

The beginning is the same as usual!! ! recommend tying it off so it doesn't loosen!

Step 2

The second row will also be fine!

Step 3

In the third row you won't be able to secure the last bead the way you normally do! So first you're going to just add one bead onto the string as usual!

Step 4

Pull the string through the bead in the row beneath the new bead going inwards.

Step 5

Once pulled taught, the new bead should lay as usual! The next steps will be just to get the string back to where you can continue the pattern without any string showing!

Step 6

Pull the string through either one of the beads adjacent to the one we used to secure the new bead (going inwards again)

Step 7

Now pull it through the other adjacent bead going outwards!

Step 8

Through the bead we used to secure the new bead again! Outwards this time!

Step 9

Go back through the new bead and continue with your pattern! You’ll need to do this every other row!

Step 10

And here’s the finished product!

I hope this helps!! Sorry it took so long for me to post it! I’ve tried to make it at least five separate times and it’s deleted itself every single time 😭
